We do not test for the parasite Toxoplasma gondii. However, the freezing of meat has been shown to kill this parasite. All meats sourced by Primal are frozen (or have been frozen) for at least 2 weeks before becoming available for sale. Our target storage temperatures for our products are between -10 and 10 degrees Fahrenheit, well within the recommended kill temperature & time for the elimination of Toxoplasma, which is 19 degrees Fahrenheit or lower for a minimum of 4 days.
